Hair fall and its factors

Did you know that you lose up to 100 hairs every day? This is normal, and for most people, these hairs regenerate. But many men – and some women – lose their hair as they age.

You can also lose hair if you have a particular illness, such as thyroid problems, diabetes or lupus. If you take certain medications or do chemotherapy for cancer, you may also lose your hair. Other causes are stress, low protein intake, family history or poor nutrition.

Hair fall treatment depends on the cause. In some cases, trigger treatment can correct the problem. Other treatments are drugs and hair restoration.

Is Hair Loss Normal?

Everyone loses hair every day. Losing up to 100 hairs a day is normal. But if hair fall is a tradition in your family, you can lose a lot more hair. After the added hair fall you can end up with bare areas if you are male.

Other factors, such as illness and drugs, can also make your hair fall out more than you normally would.
